Kobido® is the name of a historic Japanese company and lineage, not a general term for traditional Japanese massage. Derived from the arts of Anma and Shiatsu, it represents the Japanese way of life, health and beauty.

The Kobido company begins practicing its art in Shimizu, Shizuoka Prefecture.
1977
Shogo Mochizuki begins his formal study of Kobido under Master Ito, the 25th Generation Grandmaster.
1993
He begins teaching in the United States.
1995
Kobido's first textbook is published.
2005
Master Ito appoints him successor: 26th Generation Grandmaster and Lineage Holder.
Today
A skincare company and esthetic college in Tokyo, with licensed instructors in Japan, Italy, France and the USA.
